ATM Arrrghhh
Congratulations to Mark Holm, winner of the "Spot The Dummy" contest. He
was the first to find the fatal flaw in my mirror evaluation: entering the
wrong value for Source Distance in Sixtests. Since I use a slitless tester,
which is therefore a moving source, the Source Distance must be entered as
Zero. I figured that the source and knife edge are the same distance from
the mirror, so I entered the same value in both the Source distance and
Knife distance fields. Wrong!!! Correcting this one mistake plunged my
Strehl ratio from .910 to less than .0005. Well, back to the polishing
post.
* Best regards, Bob
