Hi

  I have just received my first blank and tool. They are of pyrex and 8" diameter. However there is a series of concentric rings on one surface of each pyrex disk. The rings are nearly 2mm high. Will these cause a problem with glass stress? Figuring? They make good nonslip handles when its wet though. You can see a photo of them here
