Re: ATM Ritchey photos
Out of curiosity, has anyone ever read any of the original "English
Mechanic" articles? I've looked on the 'net but (not surprisingly)
cannot find anything digitized. Any idea where they can be found?
IIRC, these are the articles that inspired Porter/Ingalls, no?
One of the things I enjoy most is the train of thought that some old
articles inspire. They may be dead-ends, but it does seem to help
one "think outside the box." Too bad there isn't a comprehensive
bibliography of "old stuff."
Regards,
Matt
PS FYI, The Smithsonian will make a copy of this Ritchey article for
$0.20 per page. It's 68pp in total (including plates, presumably).
