You sound like a mad scientist or a mad bomber there. 
Glad you didn't blow yourself up, or poison yourself. 
Sounds like you looked like Marty McFly stepping out
of the timemachine with a radiation suit on when you
answered the door there!

You know in the 'good old days' many a mirror factory
would disappear in a mushroom cloud of debris before
the chemistry of silvering was nailed down pat.  I
think after reading on this list on the subject that
the cost of an aluminimizing job is sounding like a
bargin!

Oh btw did you make your own secondary mirrors, or buy
them ready to go?
