ATM Eyepiece height on 6" Dob

Hi folks;

I'm in the process of making a 6" f5 Dob telescope for my dentist and
his two 8yr old sons. Since my experience with making Dobs is
practically nil, I was curious as to how high above the ground I should
have the focuser.
The two sons eye level's are approx. 48". Their dad is 6ft+ tall. I was
thinking of making it so the kids need a short step to use at zenith,
and go from there, as I would assume they will grow and continue to use
the scope.

Any comments as to what others have done with kid accesable scopes,
would be greatly appreciated.
