Had a guy today that did some 5 micron and got some shallow sleek type
scratches and 3 wets of 12 micron got them out.  The problem was apparently
a bit of the plaster of the tool drying out some of the 5 micron and that
caused the sleek type scratches.
The tool was made in a real hurry and was also done with some almost too
hard to work plaster (I thought the guy was ready for the plaster but he
wasn't so I did some panic work on getting the tiles cut for the dam on the
glass) which ended up just barely working.
Very ugly tool but it worked well while grinding.  He went to polishing pads
and after 15 minutes of polishing, has noticed that the sun reflects on the
glass a lot harder than it did with the 5 micron surface - to the point
where he doesn't want to look at the sun's reflection any more without
sunglasses.
