RE: ATM astronomy software?

Starry Night is a very nice program. I enjoy it, too. But you can also
check out these two sites that have links to many "planetarium" software
titles. They vary greatly in number of objects, graphics, images, "movie
clips"/animated shorts, user level, and more.

Charles,

Try the demo from Sienna for Starrynight
http://www.starrynight.com/

Starrynight has great graphics and kids will enjoy it more than
the professional programs with a lot of dots they won't understand
yet. Let them play with it on the 'puter for a night or two and they'll
be dying to find stuff in the night sky. When you put an arrow on
a planet and zoom in the program provides a picture of the planet
taken with a pro scope......same with the moon.

I highly suggest it for kids, and lazy ATMs like me since it gives
all the info on location "now" quickly.
