I'll second Sky Map.  Have purchased two versions of it.  Hard to beat.  I
have downloaded quite a few different sky mapping programs.  The only one I
liked was Sky Map.

Just my opinion.  Not connected to Sky Map in any way.

Since long ago I have been using a software called Sky Map. I have not used
other software so I can´t make a comparision. You can download a trial
version at www.skymap.com there is nothing to loose.

I had found that this software gives me a lot for what it cost and for the
use I make of it.

I´m in no way related to the Sky Map guys.
