Yep, nice fun with a mirror!  Now you understand that when you get the
mirror figured, you can go and put it in your telescope and do some nice
star testing with just the bare glass and really verify that the mirror is
superb.  BTW, I always make sure that the mirrors generated in the SDAA
mirror making class are at least 1/10th wave or better on the wavefront
before letting the grinder get my approval for the mirror.  The last guy to
do so was ready to stop at 1/8th wave but I made him do the last few strokes
to get the shape down to 1/14th wave.  Once you get close, it's often only a
few strokes to get the last part of the way and, with a plate glass mirror,
a lot of waiting for it to cool down.
