Actually, your're going to see the shadows appear correctly for the two
methods of measuring the mirror.  Your only problem is that you will end up
with either a 1/2x or 2x of what you really should have depending upon which
way you make the error.  With the Ronchi grating, you won't be able to tell
the difference either as you can end up with the same kind of errors again.
