Re: ATM No more questions. (OT)

And people are making a mistake if they rely only on the net.

A list like the atm list will feel intimidating at times. The best way to get
questions answered is to have a decent reason for asking.

For instance, I receive email daily from around the world. The email falls
into two categories:

1. "Yo, my man, got a class assignment due tomorrow - what's a telescope?"

2. "Been reading Paul's Telescopes for Skygazing. He talks about cold camera
photography at the end. Is what he says applicable to digital cameras?"

My time is wasted on the first, but will be of value on the second.

Ask politely again if the question is not answered on the first go-around. We
often assume it got answered, or maybe we were all busy at that time.

Don't be intimidated by the technical nature of some of the threads. You will
never come across stupid if you think about your question first. Make the
question interesting for us to answer. And start answering a few of the simpler
questions yourself. You will quickly appreciate what it is like coming from the
other side!

Finally, say thanks once in a while. Tell us how you used the info. Tell us
your take on it. Write a webpage about what you've learned.
