I was in an optical store the other day, searching out glass. Turns out that a young man who works there owned a 16.5" x 1" porthole glass. Can anyone think of a good use for this thing? <g> He offered to sell it to me for $1.00/lb. Turns out the damned thing only weighed 19lbs! He asked for $25.00, which I promply gave him. It awaits 60 grit and pourstone in my garage.
