ATM spider in the eye

Until recently, I had done most all of my observing thru a long-focus
refractor(f/15) or reflector(8" f/8). I recently got my 13" f/4.5 going
and am still working with it. One thing I noticed right away is that I see
the spider floating in the middle of the field of view. It moves as I move
my eye and seems to float between me and the image. I had never noticed this
on the smaller long-focus scopes. Is this normal at f/4.5 ? or am I having
collimation problems ?
