My friend "let the smoke out" of his Kendrick Dew remover. It looks like the component that let its smoke out was D3. The board is labelled "model IV" (although the outside of the case says "model V"). >From what remains of the diode, it looks like it was a 1N58. Can someone who has one open up their box and tell me if that's correct? -- Mike Lindner
