No Subject


  opps, forgot a title. Anyway, after marking the main mirror and
putting it back in, it was WAY out of alinement. For the next hour I
working on getting it back in, just before dark I got it almost totaly
set, couldn't make out the dot anymore. I took it outside and with the
ONLY eyepice I have I looked towards edwards air force base. I saw
things over there I'id never found with the 4.25 dob. As I don't have
a base yet, I sat up two chairs and a stack of paperback books and
waited for venus. When it was dark enough I got venus, the 3 images
where gone, BUT it still was not the best, for I had a nice single
image, but it had like a out of fources 'ghost'(?) image behind the
main one.

 I stayed out and the clouds broke and I scanned the milky way, and to
me the stars looked very good, I'm not sure if they were totaly in
fouces, I think they were very close to being pin points. So maybe a
bit more needs to be done on saturday but it's closer. If I wake up
in time, I might try forJupiter as last week it was awefull, couldn't
make out any bands even.
