Paulo;

1) Do you know if the mirror is a parabola, or
spherical?
   That should be determined if you want to use it
for astronomical    purposes

2) If it does have a good figure, the scratches
are there to stay,    (unless they are VERY fine
and in the coating only)

3) To remove the coating, my fave is a Ferric
Chloride solution for an    overnite soak.

4) If it needs to be refigured, the list can help
with that too...

5) Then there is the building of the
telescope.....
