ATM Dobsonian design questions

I am a newcomer to the ATM hobby...currently waiting on my 8" WB mirror
kit. Thanks for the posts that helped me decide on the 8" rather then
the 10"...portability became a priority. A 8" F6 will fit in my wife's
Nissan trunk.

While I am waiting for the blanks I have been pondering a couple design
decisions. I will be modifying Berry's 10" design so it will be scaled
down for a 8"...if anyone has done this I would be happy to hear about
your construction stories. More specifically has anyone modified Berry's
mirror cell to help reduce the tube currents or is this even necessary?
I also remember seeing a web page that described how to make a spider
from hacksaw blades when I first became interested in ATM but I can't
seem to locate that page...does anyone have that page bookmarked,know of
any other spider design pages or have personal designs they could post?
