The older Moto-Tools (like the one I own) ran at 30,000 in the absence
of a speed control; the newer models, with the slightly smaller bodies,
run at something like 27,000.  The older tools also had about 50% more
torque than the newer ones.

I might have to get some Roto-Zip blades and the router base for mine; I
need to make a cell and rocker box, and I'm contemplating a fork mount
made from plywood for the future; the ability to cut curves with a
circle jig would be very welcome, and I already own the base tool...  B)
