I recall a survey that was taken a while back, and was recently repeated
with a few twists on the ABC News web site.  It seems that people have
an easier time believing that there is life elsewhere in the universe,
than believing a politician!!!

I hope that someone has the foresight to take a series of measurements
of the existing conditions in the night sky, so we can see what the
projected 1% degradation will look like.  Any body want to start a pool?
