If you are talking about the comet related to the Leonids
meteoroids showers, its name is Temple-Tuttle. It passed
this winter and was quite faint (too faint for the naked eye).

Yes, Nov 17th, 1998 is expected to see a peak of the Leonids
activity. That is a concern for satellite operators, since the collision
probablities may not remain negligible on a 50 sq meters piece
of hardware during the max shower.
Clear skies, and think about buying a comfortable chair if
you wish to observe the Leonids (I do not know the english
name of those low armchairs)
