If you ever write such software you will be a rich man.
In short - NO, there is no such software. Figuring is one of remaining
'black magic' skills that simply cannot be put into a formula. There
are far too many variables to be taken into account. If you use
ion-beam for figuring, sure, computers can be used. Computer models
also work rather well in professional shops where pitch recepies don't
change and temperature and humidity is kept constant. But even there,
master opticians cannot be replaced by PCs.
At home there is only one thing on your side - time. More you work,
the better you will be at it. There are no short cuts unfortunately.
Study Texerau and keep your own notes. In time you will develop the
feeling of what works best for YOU, and that is not necessarily the best
thing for someone else.
