Not to dampen the enthusiasm of to be optics design gurus, I just want
to give a small warning. Many designs (among the other, Lurie Houghton,
Schmidt in all forms, Wright and Maksutov-Newtonian) are VERY easy to
design, or to paraphrase Peter Ceravolo 'could be done by a monkey with
a calculator'. But MAKING these isn't as trivial. The power of a good
ray trace program is deceiving - especially if it has powerful
optimizing routines.
