In the past, I have been trying to find a user friendly Optical Design
package that was easy to use, but have always been turned away by either
the difficulty of the command interface (Dos based), or the price
(Windows based). (The former has more to do with my lack of self
discipline probably than anything else)

However, working my way through the OSLO user guide examples of a
doublet, and a prism/turning mirror, within an hour's time, I was able
to layout my Maksutov Newtonian project, run analysis's, and get some
really cool displays, which to me makes it a great program.

(You're right Bratislav, this is a great design!)
