ATM (Fwd) lighting up Quebec, slightly off topic
I'm sending the list this because our telescope making hobby
will be worth nothing if we don't do something about hairbrained city
lighting ideas like this one.
Don't reply to the list. I'll be happy to send details.

To The President
Commission de la Capitale Nationale
QUEBEC, CANADA.
It was with great concern and disappointment that I learned of your
proposal to "light-up" Quebec.
Your proposal will go a long way towards destroying what little remains of
the night sky in the world's cities.
AS A RESULT I WILL NOT VISIT QUEBEC. ANY VISITORS TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM
CANADA, AND PEOPLE I MEET INTENDING TO VISIT CANADA, WILL BE MADE AWARE OF
THE LIKELY CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR PLANS.

SUNDOWN OBSERVATORY,
Ballandean, Qld., AUSTRALIA.
