ATM Light Absorbing Coatings

I am finding that every list of high absorption coatings/paints (97%
absorption or better in visible light) comes to a dead-end.  I was talking to
a scientist-friend of mine the other day who works with spy satellites and
software...  he seems surprised that anyone would talk to me because, "High
light absorbing coatings have direct military application and are restricted."
He is the honest sort...  I think this may be true.  This would explain why
NASA, 3M, etc acts like they don't know anything even though they list a whole
slew of paints and coatings?  Others claim the paint and it's application is
proprietary info!!  Interesting?      Jay
