Re: ATM 1.25" vs 2" diagonal on refractor




If the eyepiece is 25mm or tinier, then the actual field of view will be
1.25" or less, assuming 60-70 deg apparent field of view.   If you
intend to use slower eyepieces, then you will need a 2" diagonal.
Somewhere around 40mm, you will have to switch to a larger diagonal and
focuser yet again.
