Hi guys,

I tested my conclusion last night and used the second knob that moves
the K.E left and right, sorry I'm still confused about the using of
words "transverse" and "lateral" I keep on forgetting what it means, so
I use "right-left movement".

And it works! I spent almost two hours watching the shadows, tried to
familiarize myself with the test. Man I know now that inside focus the
shadow is on the right and outside focus the shadow is on the left :-)
I didn't see no irregularities on the surface of the mirror last night,
like holes or hills, I'm almost certain that I got a sphere, but I'll do
it again tonight to be really sure.

The other thing is about the test using the Couder mask. I always
thought, that reading the zone, moving from say, zone 1 to zone 2,  is
done by moving the K.E back and forth. But after I read the responses
from you guys, I know that the zonal reading is done by moving the K.E
left and right. I'll read Tex book again tonight, I never read anything
else but Tex and Berry's book lately, and will do the zonal test
tomorrow. I'll have a long weekend (Monday is holiday here) so I can
concentrate on learning how to do the test.

Thank you for all your advices. I'll get back to you guys on how to do
the zonal measurement, that's for sure :-)
