Re: ATM Altitude Bearing Angle
The friction is more if you up the angle of the altitude bearings -
changes as sin of the angle. So bearing points at 45 degrees will have
1.4 times friction than at 30 degrees. Given an altitude bearing and
scope weight and moment arm of the eyepiece, you can adjust the bearing
point angle to achieve the friction of movement desired at the eyepiece.
