Hi Mel,
        I understand when you say "long stroke", what do you mean when you say
"wide stroke". Is this a compressed W stroke?  I'm having trouble with
my 3.9 f/l mirror. Another month or so it may look good with a star
test.  Texareau said it takes a good optical tech to make this mirror. 
I may be out of my league, but I won't give up for a while yet.
