You could put the finder on a hinge & just swing it out of the way to
use the Telrad. No need to more than coarsely aline the finder, the
Telrad reticle is what you'd use for centering. Also, the Telrad doesn't
have to cover the entire aperture of the finder, partway into the light
path will work also.
