Variations can be found on the used lens market, at one time I had
access to a Zeiss 7" (dia) f7 triplet (WW2 German aerial camera surplus?)
which was a truly *fine* lens, covered a 15-inch diameter flat field
with excellent images. Some of the old large format portrait camera
lenses were Cooke triplets.
