ATM Composite Tube

I was referring to a quote for a ready to use tube.  Unfortunately,
the "boss" is pretty firm about not authorizing that much for a tube
for a scope that she thinks works just fine.

Anyway, I would like to know more about this "easy to make".

Let's start with the word "composite".  Just exactly what does that
mean?  What is it made of and how does one make one?

Sounds like an alternative to drilling lots of 3" holes in my
Sonotube.  Not a bad idea but just haven't brought myself to do
it yet.
