the red light is used because when a chicken sees blood it will continue pecking at it until the other poor chicken ultimately dies! the red light serves as a distraction and keeps the other chickens from concentrating their aggressiveness in one spot! this keeps the chickens from killing each other!!! what the heck does this have to do with telescopes anyway????
