In a post several months ago (in the archives) Bob Pfaff stated his
recconmendatins on 5/1 ratio of spindle to eccentric for polishing...
Grinding is not as critical, but you WILL want to polish on this machine
sooner or later, so bring up Bob's post from the archives, and go through
it. I have repeatedly followed this proceedure with TOT, and a specific
stroke, to get wonderful spheres off my Strausbaugh polisher. On an old
Elgin at the Chabot College Mirror Workshop, we don't get quite as good
of a sphere, but with 15min of hand work, you can be off and
parabolizing..
