Hi John, Well it sounds to me like you are worring a bit too much. I have lots of bubbles at 320 with no problem. It has been my experience that the quantity of grit has wide latitude. At 320 I think I use about 1/2 teaspoon per wet. It is much more important to be sure to rotate the mirror, use random strokes, enough time per grade etc. If you want to get more specific about quantity of grit or any other questions I would be very happy to help....
