Well this new job is great. The best thing about it is that they have a gigantic vertical mill that I can use to make telescope parts.

I am really rolling on my mount. It is a copy of the OptiCraft German Equitorial mounts. It's going to be heavy, and a pain to move, but I think it will be stable.

I posted a plan a while ago, and I've made some changes since then. The plates that go on the ends of the shafts have turned into 1.75 Inch thick 6.5 Inches by 5.5 Inches. I bored a 1-5/8 Inch hole in the center, and cut a slot from one end to the center. I am going to bore a hole for a bolt that goes through the slot and tightens the plate to the shaft.

I'll keep you up to date on progress.

PS: I got 4 TeleVue Panoptic eyepieces and the 2 Inch Barlow the other day. Man that 35mm is hugely huge.
