1) To keep performance optimized we have moved mail to a new server. The old address will be aliased for a short time, but consider this to be effective immediately: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All commands to Majordomo (eg subscribes and unsubscribes) MUST be sent to: MAJORDOMO@LISTS.BEST.COM
Message sent to the list MUST be sent to: LISTNAME@LISTS.BEST.COM
AN EXAMPLE: ~~~~~~~~~~~ * To unsubscribe from the ATM list: Send a message to: majordomo@lists.best.com (as opposed to: majordomo@best.com)
* To send a message to the ATM list: Send your message to: ATM@lists.best.com (as opposed to: atm@best.com)
This applies to the following lists, simply substitute the list names in the preceeding example for your list: * atm * atm-digest * Celestronuser * Celestronuser-digest * astromart * astromart-digest * astrosw * astrosw-digest * sbiguser * sbiguser-digest
2) The lists will now be processed in a little different fashion. When you get your mail when be determined in part by where you are on the subscriber lists. The list will be processed sequentially. If mail fails to your address it will be skipped. Retries will occur after the entire list is processed however, this interval can lead to long delays. So, if your near the end of the list and mail fails to your site it may take hours or DAYS before you recieve a message as failed mail addresses are given a lower priority. If you see long delays on your mail, chances are mail to your site bounced on the first try. The idea here is to give priority to functioning systems.
Note: if you see real long delays (i'm talking days here) in getting your own posts, you may want to check with your sysadmin to see if you have a local mail problem.
