I have made only two Schmidt correcting plates so do not consider myself an expert. I am not a optical worker or machinist, just a guy that jumps into the pool and learns to swim. (yeah I sometimes sink) :-( Anyway I see no reason for every ATM to reinvent the wheel. I will write a few posts (about one per week) on how I made my plates along with the problems that were encountered using the vacuum method. If I do not get to many flames on this thing my next post will talk about published articles needed to get started.
ATM's feel free to add comments or ask questions.
