Poking through the Thomas Register, the purchasers guide to finding just about anything made, under phenolfermaldahyde (Bakelite is a brand name of Union Carbide), and it appears at this time, mainly stuff like ball knobs for machines etc is what is still made, a couple of inquires yielded the comments..well if you wanted a special order set-up we might be able......etc. Samething for phenolic, which I think may be even more suited for tele tubing....
Oh well, I guess its sono, fiberlass, or alum....
