Thanks for the response.
The source code that I used was the listing from Marty's site and it is
the one that you worked on because your name pops up in the comments.
I had another look at it again and the fast clicking is in the
calibration routine, in the correction part there is a longer delay
before the output gets written over.
Next night that I have clear skies I'll try it on the mount and see how
it does.
The only change that I made was to up the baud rate to 9600 from the
previous 300 baud, I didn't muck with the rest of the code.
