I want to be very clear here: I am not claiming that oversized laps will
automagically stop TDE or that TDE cannot be controlled with full sized or
sub-diameter laps.  In fact, TDE can be kept in check with <= 100% sized
laps.

I am saying that for the way I do figuring, oversized laps have never given
me a TDE issue, whereas laps <= 100% do so in a minority of the times,
necessitating me taking measures to combat the TDE.
