[ATM] B&W QuickCam guider.exe

I am playing around with a quickcam autoguider (I know there are others 
out there).
I have modified the source code so that the normally 300 baud output is 
now sent at 9600 baud.
What I found with tests in the basement is that the corrections last for 
less than 1/10 of a second as the command is almost immediately 
overwritten by the source code when it sends out zeros. This is even 
during the calibrate mode.
Do most commercial mounts or drive correctors convert this very short 
pulse into a longer correction period with a one shot or the like?
