I would just like to say again...Thanks a ton Mel!!!....from where i stand 
this has been a most energetic discussion, and seemingly one that both newbs 
and yall old-hands at this stuff find some interest in.  It's given me a lot 
to think about for the future...since i don't plan to stop making telescopes 
any time soon...assuming i can ever get this second one done.

As far as my 12" f/5 project is going...I'm still plugging away at the 
polishing...i got my AC fixed, and that has help a bunch with the way my 
middling pitch is acting...the shape is coming back to something more like a 
sphere and the edge is polishing out...i will let yall know...or more likely 
freak out, and dig for advice as i start to try figuring it soon.
