Re: [ATM] cutting a big piece of plate glass into mirror or tool
Water get saws tend to make plywood panel saws look tiny. They
also tend to leave a somewhat rough edge, depending upon how fast
they do the cut.
Diamond saw cutting is really about the fastest way. Tile saws
do fine for straight edges but curves tend to need other stuff.
If you're doing a lot of cutting of the same size stuff, you can
get diamonds edged onto a thin blade and run that around a disk
and you'll usually be able to do hundreds of disks. You'll
probably spend fifty bucks for a piece big enough to do a ten
inch dia. and three quarter thick jpiece of glass. With a hp or
so of power on the blad, you'll probably go through the glass in
about three minutes or so.
