I just observed our metal roof, a black Weber grill (barby), and a Dell
lcd monitor with a Canon 55mm circular polarizer (PL-C), it is designed
to rotate. I did not have the opportunity to look at a nice north, blue
sky, because we are cloudy again in Texas. Results, the apparent color
temperture changed with rotation, from warm to cool, I should have used
a linear as well, but that is another experiment. Something does indeed
happen with rotation of a circular polarizer, I am more a fan of the
linear and manual settings in photography.
