Re: [ATM] Mirror Scratches- and no tile tool available
That is awful looking.
Save yourself a lot of grief. Don't waste work and time trying to save work
and time. It will only cause pain.
Treat it as though you have just rough-ground the curve. Make a tool and
grind with something like 120 silicon carbide, work through the grits and
polish again. If made correctly 120 will grind the tiles into contact in a
relatively short time.
That answers all the questions except the grit on a pitch lap question and
how long to get the new tiles into contact. The answer is NO! And If made
correctly 120 will grind the tiles into contact in a relatively short time.

don't know if these scratches will come out with rouge.
I would rather avoid
Can I go back to some grinding grit and use it with
the polishing lap, or will the grit get into the pitch
and contaminate the lap?
would I have to go back to a very course grit to grind the tiles down to
full contact with the tool
how long would
it take to get full contact?
Thanks for your help.
