Re: [ATM] Mirror Scratches- and no tile tool available

Only extremely fine scratches will polish out in a reasonable time.
First, check if you really have all the pits from fine grinding polished
out. If the pits are gone, and the scratches remain, it is probably
best to ignore the scratches.

If you still have pits, then you have a choice between continuing to
polish them out, in which case the scratches may also be reduced or
eliminated, depending on their depth, or, regrind. Pits from fine
grinding are hard to see. A good quality magnifier, such as a jeweler's
loupe, plus bright light are helpful. There are other methods that
involve looking for scattered light. Often, pits on a partially
polished mirror are more nearly polished out near the center of the
mirror than near the edge, so looks for haziness or reflected light near
the edge as compared to near the center.
