Re: [ATM] Rechanneling, Malacara

The razor method does work and is fast but I do find it a bit
mess. Since most of the time, I've been where I just couldn't
make messes that would be hard to clean up (rthe razor method
throws pitch all over the place ) so it really hasn't been done
much.
You do have to use a clean bar and I'd also suggest that you put
some dishwashing deergent on it for a release agent so that it
doesn't stick to the pitch.
Hot bar isn
't as good as the hot pitch but it does work. Distortion of the
lap isn't bad with the hot pitch method as the ridges are quickly
pressed down and make for nice edges which seem to help with the
polishing action.
I worry moree about the evenness of tghe contact patch rather
than how mucch the contact area is, especially when doing rough
polishing. Making pedal laps is another thing entirely.
