[ATM] Musing upon 20" fused silica blank

Hello everyone;

I have done the following to my 20? blank, so far.

This is the short version.

1) ground out chips on back, Blanchard
2) Cored out 2.7? center hole, then plastered back in.
3) Put together a 9? bar bell weight tool
4) Ran on big Strasbaugh polisher, 90 rpm, 60psi, 80
grit SiC
5) Generating marks going away after 15 minutes,
mostly gone after 45 minutes
6) After 1hour 45 minutes, moving slow, about at f 7
7) Need smaller tool.

Remember Bill, its fused silica, patience is a virtue.
