Hi Lance,
If you use a U.S. aluminizer, I would suggest you get the location of
the nearest "UPS Store" in upstate NY. Most will gladly take your
shipment, and you pay $5 when you pick it up. You then can declare it
when you cross the border, and if it's necessary to open it (pretty
rare), you can at least supervise it. Hope that helps.
